According to foreign media reports, electric vehicle technology startup Atlis Motor Vehicles announced the first Atlis Battery Day event, where it showcased its proprietary ultra-fast charging battery technology and early prototypes of its 100% pure electric XP platform. Atlis has also designed an electric pickup truck - the Atlis XT.

Atlis said its battery solution is scalable (down to 125 kWh), also features ultra-fast charging and superior thermal performance. Made with NCM-based chemistry, it enables the battery to achieve high cycle rates and offers a low-profile design that is easily integrated into battery packs.
The skateboard-style XP platform is the basis for the Atlis XT pickup truck and is also available as a standalone product for automakers seeking a medium- to heavy-duty electric platform. The standard XP platform includes two identical modular drive systems located at the front and rear of the vehicle, as well as a central battery pack.
Atlis is designing a complete drive-by-wire system so that controls can be integrated with traditional pedals and steering wheels located anywhere in the car, or with future autonomous driving features.
Atlis targets RV, step van and box truck manufacturers as well as aftermarket automakers looking to electrify classic models.
Atlis Battery Day will be held on February 21, 2020 at Atlis' new headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. The new 42,000-square-foot factory will be where Atlis will build mass-production prototypes of battery packs and the XP platform this year, and will build a mass-production prototype of the XT truck in early 2021.
