As we all know, Audi is the "grandmaster" of the industry in terms of automotive lighting, so Audi has always been called the "lighting factory". In fact, Audi is not the only one in the field of automotive lighting technology. Take Lexus as an example. Recently, Lexus launched a lighting black technology - BladeScan Type AHS active high and low beam technology. This technology is the first of its kind in the world by Lexus and is designed to improve driving safety at night!
I believe that many car owners have experienced this kind of distress, that is, when driving at night, they are often disturbed by the high beams of the opposite direction, which may affect the driving vision at the least and cause accidents at the worst. Although many qualified drivers will pay attention to the switching of high and low beams, there are some "high beam dogs" who drive with high beams on at all times and places, as long as it is night, only caring about seeing the road in front of them, regardless of the safety of others. Such people are very selfish.
Although "high beam dogs" are hateful, there seems to be no particularly good way to cure them. In view of this, Lexus has developed the world's first BladeScan Type AHS active high and low beam technology light group. The biggest feature of this technology is that it can accurately control the spread of the light!
The layout of the BladeScan technology headlights is very different from that of the current LED headlights. The current LED light group is divided into two layers, with 8 units on the upper layer and 16 units on the lower layer, while the BladeScan technology headlights have only 10 units in each light group. Traditional headlights use projection or reflection to emit light forward, but the LED in the BladeScan module is projected diagonally and passes through a pair of knife-shaped mirrors. The rotation of each mirror and the opening and closing of the LED light source need to be precisely synchronized.
Therefore, the BladeScan Type AHS active high and low beam technology is to illuminate the LED light source to the rotatable blade-shaped reflector. The light is transmitted to the lens to illuminate the road ahead. The special design is used to accurately control the distribution of light, so that the BladeScan lamp group can illuminate a longer distance and a wider range, including shoulders that traditional high beam systems cannot reach, so as to detect pedestrians and road conditions early.
According to Lexus' official statement, through the built-in real-time sensor, the BladeScan headlight group can detect pedestrians and road conditions in advance at a distance of about 60 meters without hindering the visibility of the driver in the vehicle. Generally, ordinary headlight groups can only detect the road conditions and pedestrians ahead at a distance of about 30 meters, which is twice as much. This shows how advanced its technology is.
In addition, thanks to the adaptive technology, no matter how wide or far the light is, it will not dazzle oncoming vehicles and pedestrians, because the light is automatically divided into different zones. This is good news for all drivers who hate high beams!
It is understood that the world's first active high and low beam technology headlight group has quietly appeared on the facelifted Lexus RX 450h, and will be installed in more Toyota models in the future. It must be said that BladeScan Type AHS active high and low beam headlight is a very practical and safe system. I hope it can be applied to other brands of models in the future to benefit all drivers!
