WPG Launches STMicroelectronics' Automotive Short- and Mid-Range Radar Solutions

WPG Holdings announced that its subsidiary Unisun has launched STMicroelectronics (ST) 24GHz and 77GHz automotive radar solutions.

Dalian Dayoushang is the agent of ST to launch medium-range (24GHz ) and long-range ( 77GHz ) automotive radar solutions for customers. Among them, ST's 24GHz automotive radar system is one of the first automotive radar systems in the industry , which can realize medium-range driving assistance functions such as blind spot detection, collision avoidance and lane departure warning. The shipment volume of this radar transceiver chip has exceeded 35 million, and with the strong demand for ADAS, the shipment volume is still increasing.

In response to the next generation upgrade of automotive ADAS systems , ST has launched a 77GHz automotive radar system in a timely manner. Its highly integrated 77GHz transceiver integrates three 77GHz transmitters and four receivers, which has a higher level of integration than other solutions currently available on the market, allowing customers to develop radar systems with smaller size, lower cost and simpler design. Its multi-channel architecture can improve target recognition rate and resolution, achieving the best driving performance and reliability.

The ST millimeter-wave automotive radar solutions represented by Dalian Dayoushang are all CMOS process, with the advantages of high integration and low cost. They have been recognized and used by major well-known brands in the industry, such as BOSCH, Continental, Hella, Autoliv, Delphi, Denso, etc.
