Mobile phone power banks are common in this era, but have you ever seen a "power bank specifically for oil wells"?

On October 9, the oil field’s first 10MW/20MWh electrochemical energy storage project was officially put into operation.
The total installed capacity of the battery energy storage warehouse is 10 MW/20 MWh. In layman's terms, this "big battery" has 20,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is equivalent to 550,000 commonly used mobile phone power banks. When fully charged, it can provide electricity for 2,000 oil and water wells for 20 minutes.
The battery cells use domestically produced lithium iron phosphate batteries. In order to ensure the good condition and life of the batteries, they are also equipped with air conditioning and fire protection systems. The configuration is quite complete.
This project is a landmark achievement in the construction of the "energy storage sector" in the source-grid-load-storage system. It has realized the effective use of green electricity, improved the grid's photovoltaic absorption and peak-shaving capabilities, and effectively promoted the optimization of the oilfield energy structure and the improvement of grid stability. In the future, it will help the oilfield's green and low-carbon energy transformation and accelerate the construction of a new power system.
