On August 30, the air turbine of the Dingxi Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station Innovation Demonstration Project designed and manufactured by Shanghai Steam Turbine Works was successfully shipped. As the first turbine unit obtained by the power station group in the field of compressed air energy storage, the shipment of this unit is an important milestone. It is worth mentioning that the shipment day also coincided with the 71st anniversary of SAIC.
Relevant persons in charge from Shanghai Power Generation Equipment Design and Research Institute, SAIC and other institutions attended the shipping ceremony.
Dingxi Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station is the first domestically-built shared energy storage power station combining compressed air and lithium batteries. It has been included in the National Energy Administration's 2023 key rural revitalization support construction projects. The project features large sliding pressure, two-way air supply, high efficiency in all operating conditions, and fast and frequent start and stop. After careful analysis and discussion by experts from various parties, the SAIC 10MW turbine unit was finally adopted. The unit uses advanced technologies such as secondary reheating, two cylinders, and shaft exhaust, combining advancement, efficiency, and reliability.
The power plant group has been closely following the national strategy to pursue its own development, and actively seeking breakthroughs in core basic components, key technologies, and major equipment for energy security.
