In August 2023, the EU Battery Regulation officially came into effect. The introduction of this regulation aims to shape a safe and sustainable battery value chain, promote global green transformation, and build a circular economy. It has formulated detailed regulations for the safety, performance and sustainable development of different types of batteries throughout their life cycle. In addition, the regulation also puts forward higher requirements for the transparency and information disclosure of the battery supply chain to manage the sustainable challenges of the battery's entire life cycle.

In order to help companies adapt to the various requirements of EU battery regulations in advance, TÜV SÜD has compiled a series of standards and specifications covering testing, evaluation and auditing based on its expertise and rich experience in the battery field. These standards are designed to provide companies with a comprehensive and practical guidance program to help them make adequate preparations and plans before the secondary laws and coordinated standards are officially introduced.

As a world-leading battery technology company, Payne Technology has always been committed to the concept of sustainable development. Facing the requirements of the EU Battery Regulation, Payne Technology stood at the forefront of the battery industry's transformation and took prompt action. Through comprehensive safety testing and quality system assessments, Payne Technology has demonstrated its products' outstanding compliance with EU battery regulations, giving it an advantage in future international market competition.

At the certification ceremony, Mr. Christian Theeck of TÜV SÜD said: "The EU Battery Regulation is a complete and huge regulatory system that involves the entire life cycle of the battery industry. The introduction of this regulation will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the healthy and orderly development of the battery industry. At the same time, it also puts forward higher standards and stricter requirements for related companies. TÜV SÜD's battery regulation expert team has compiled a series of standards such as PPP 51098A based on the current mainstream battery standards, aiming to provide companies with a set of systematic and comprehensive solutions to help them prepare in advance and calmly respond to the upcoming regulatory requirements. As a leading company in the battery industry, Payne Technology has attached great importance to the introduction of the EU Battery Regulation and has actively taken countermeasures." Mr. Christian Theeck expressed his gratitude for Payne Technology's trust and support, and emphasized: "The implementation of the EU Battery Regulation is only the first step. There are more challenges and opportunities waiting for us to explore in the future. TÜV SÜD will continue to leverage its professional advantages to assist domestic and foreign battery companies in successfully completing compliance work and jointly promote the sustainable development of the battery industry."

Mr. Luo Ji, Product Compliance Manager of Payne Technology, expressed his gratitude for the issuance of this certificate. He said: "The acquisition of this certificate is a strong recognition of the quality of Payne Technology's products and a great encouragement for the company's future development. Payne Technology will continue to deepen its cooperation with TÜV SÜD and work together to ensure that the company's various products can meet the diversified needs and strict regulatory requirements of the global market. Contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the global new energy industry."
