On April 19, Beijing Low Carbon and Clean Energy Research Institute organized the 48th "Low Carbon Institute 'Learning Day'" series of activities. Zhao Yanling, deputy general manager of Beijing Puneng, was invited to participate in this event and gave a lecture entitled "The Application of System Science in the Development of New Productivity - Taking the Development Process of All-vanadium Liquid Flow Battery Energy Storage System as an Example". He introduced the "past and present" of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage technology to the industry colleagues attending the meeting, and discussed the future development of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage technology.

During the lecture, Mr. Zhao said that new energy storage technology is a key link in building a new energy system and an important direction for developing new quality productivity. The development of new energy storage is not only about material breakthroughs and system expansion, but also about solving a series of key problems such as basic theory, algorithms, system control technology, and application scenario breakthroughs.

Mr. Zhao gave a detailed account of the technical characteristics and development process of all-vanadium liquid flow energy storage technology, as well as the application practices and project experience of Beijing Puneng Company in all-vanadium liquid flow battery technology. He also elaborated on the two challenges of the current large-scale all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage system: 1. Fulfillment of performance promises after widespread application 2. Cost competition without sufficient project practice.

Finally, Mr. Zhao analyzed the key issues and engineering paths of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage technology and the development opportunities of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage technology - promoting the development from "single technology to hybrid complementary multi-scenario applications" and "from individual links to industrial closed loops".

During the interactive session, industry colleagues actively asked questions and discussed the technical key points of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage technology and the future development of the industry.

New energy storage technology is an important direction for the development of new quality productivity. In the future, Beijing Puneng will continue to focus on the technology upgrade and project development of all-vanadium liquid flow batteries, combine technology with market demand, and continue to give play to its own advantages to contribute "Puneng strength" to the development of new quality productivity of energy storage.
