Earlier, the 12.86MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Shanxi Chalco China Resources Co., Ltd. was connected to the grid for power generation, using Chint Power's 320kW string inverter.
Shanxi Chalco China Resources Co., Ltd. is a modern electrolytic aluminum enterprise jointly funded by two central enterprises and two provincial state-owned enterprises, and controlled by Chalco. Since its establishment, Shanxi Chalco China Resources has adhered to the concept of green and safe development, implemented environmental protection policies, and continuously increased investment in the development, utilization and consumption of new energy, as well as waste heat utilization and waste heat power generation technology, in order to better achieve the company's green, energy-saving and high-quality development.

It is reported that the photovoltaic power generation project is located deep in the mountains between the Jinxi Plateau and the western foot of Luliang Mountain in Xingxian County, Shanxi Province. The terrain, geology and climate conditions are complex, and the construction sites are numerous and widely distributed. The 320kW string inverter of Chint Power has achieved IP66 protection and C5-M grade corrosion resistance when the junction box is opened , which can perfectly adapt to harsh environments such as high temperature, high humidity and high wind and sand, and is very suitable for this project.
The 320kW string inverter from Chint Power also has an excellent temperature design. It can still output stably without derating in harsh environments up to 50°C . In contrast, other inverters of the same model on the market generally experience derating at 50°C, and can only achieve an output of 320kW in a milder environment of 40-45°C. This significant advantage means that the 320kW string inverter from Chint Power can generate more electricity under the same conditions, and the power generation efficiency is significantly improved, thus bringing higher benefits to customers.
In addition, the 320kW string inverter of Chint Power has passed the Level 4 certification of photovoltaic string IV scanning and intelligent diagnosis performance level , with current and voltage detection accuracy ≤0.5%, and can accurately identify more than 40 types of component faults. A 100MW photovoltaic power station can complete all string detection and generate a fault diagnosis report in just 15 minutes; the CAN+PLC communication method is equipped, with fast dispatch response time, more convenient for customers to remotely operate and maintain, and more reliable.
After completion, the project will adopt the operation mode of "self-generation for self-use and surplus power to the grid", and has now entered the trial operation stage. After operation, it is estimated that it will provide 18.2402 million kWh of clean electricity per year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 15,490 tons per year, and save 5,600 tons of standard coal per year compared with thermal power plants with the same power generation capacity. It has played a positive role in strengthening local environmental protection and reducing air pollution, and has obvious energy-saving, environmental protection and social benefits.
In the future, Chint Power's 320kW string inverter will be widely used in more projects, and its superior quality and excellent performance will win the favor of more customers. Chint Power will also continue to use professional technology to convert solar energy into a steady stream of green electricity, and work with customers towards a zero-carbon future.
