On April 9, Zhang Zhiqun, director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and director of the Municipal New Materials Industry Chain Chain Leader System Working Group Office, led a team to visit and investigate the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics). Responsible persons from Ankang High-tech Zone, High-tech Group, and Huaqin Energy Storage Company participated in the inspection and talks.
The inspection team visited the exhibition hall and pilot plant of the Dahua Institute, systematically learned about the main research directions and research results of the Dahua Institute, and focused on listening to the characteristics of various energy storage methods such as all-vanadium liquid flow batteries, zinc-based liquid flow batteries, and lithium fluoride carbon batteries, as well as the progress made by the Dahua Institute in the industrialization and market promotion of new energy battery industry. During the investigation at Dalian Fusion Energy Storage Development Co., Ltd., Zhang Zhiqun learned in detail from the company's head about the technical iteration of the 10kw/h-62.5 kw/h stack of all-vanadium liquid flow batteries, and had in-depth exchanges on the research and development and manufacturing processes of key materials such as electrolytes, carbon felts, bipolar plates, and exchange membranes.
In the conference room of the Institute of Chemistry, the two sides had an in-depth exchange on further cooperation. Huaqin Energy Storage Company, Ankang High-tech Zone, and High-tech Group reported on the progress of cooperation with the Energy Storage Technology Research Department of the Institute of Chemistry on zinc-bromine flow batteries and other original projects and the next step of cooperation on all-vanadium flow batteries. On behalf of the inspection team, Zhang Zhiqun thanked the Institute of Chemistry for its support and help to Ankang's energy storage industry over the years. Zhang Zhiqun said that Ankang City has continued to make efforts around the goal of building a new material base proposed by the central and provincial governments. After years of development, it has cultivated 157 new material industrial enterprises above the scale, and has initially formed subdivided industrial chains such as non-ferrous metals (new energy), inorganic non-metals, green building materials, cutting-edge new materials, and photovoltaic manufacturing. It is accelerating the construction of provincial-level compliant chemical parks and focusing on building a new material industry cluster of 100 billion yuan. The Institute of Chemistry has leading technology and fruitful results. It has a long-term in-depth cooperation foundation with Ankang City in the field of energy storage. Many technical achievements have broad cooperation space with the development of Ankang's characteristic industries. It is hoped that the two sides will deepen cooperation in technical research, talent training, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the future. Li Xianfeng, deputy director of the Dahua Institute, said that the Dahua Institute will continue to consolidate and strengthen the cooperation foundation with Ankang City in the development of the energy storage industry, and provide technical support for Huaqin Energy Storage Company to realize industrialization as soon as possible. At present, the industrial planning blueprint of Ankang City has a high degree of fit with the key research projects of the Dahua Institute. Both parties can select key parks and related enterprises to carry out in-depth docking and exchanges in key areas such as fine chemicals and new energy, so as to provide strong support for the high-quality economic and social development of Ankang.
