On April 9, the commissioning ceremony of Vinda Paper's 15MW/30MWh energy storage project (Phase I) was successfully held in Jiangmen, Guangdong. This marks the birth of the largest single low-voltage grid-connected user-side energy storage project in Guangdong Province.

The project is invested and constructed by Changdian Energy (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Group. Xinjuneng provides one-stop energy storage solutions and energy digital operation services for the project.

At the commissioning ceremony, Vinda Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer Zhang Jian, Vinda Paper (China) Co., Ltd. Xinhui Branch Director Tan Zhongmin and other leaders, together with Yangtze Power Energy (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. Deputy General Manager Yao Yuan, and New Juneng Deputy General Manager Xiao Longyue witnessed this milestone moment together.

The Vinda Paper factory in Sanjiang Town, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, where this energy storage project is located, is the largest single household paper production base in Asia.

The factory fully utilizes modern and intelligent production equipment and deeply applies digital technology to empower each business link. It is a leading factory in the household paper industry with full-process digital, intelligent and green production.

According to the production and energy demand of the factory, Xinjuneng formulated and implemented a 15MW/30MWh energy storage solution, using a distributed energy storage module design.

The overall project is constructed in two phases. The first phase is divided into three arrays, using 380V low-voltage access; the second phase is divided into five arrays, using 690V low-voltage access.

This energy storage project can not only help Vinda Paper achieve stable electricity consumption and efficient energy use, but also reduce electricity costs and balance electricity utilization efficiency through strategies such as peak-valley electricity price differences.

It is estimated that after the overall project is put into operation, the annual discharge capacity will be about 16.83 million kWh by adopting a two-charge and two-discharge operation mode.
