On April 8, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Energy Bureau released the first list of grid-side independent new energy storage power station demonstration projects. The energy storage projects of companies such as Mengdian Group, Datang Group, CGN, Envision Energy, GCL Technology, State Power Investment Corporation, and Ronghe Yuanchu were shortlisted, and all projects will enjoy capacity electricity price compensation at 0.3-0.35 yuan/kWh.
The document shows that the first batch of project list includes 19 projects with an installed capacity of 1.87 million kilowatts and a total investment of about 11.1 billion yuan. It is planned to put 1.61 million kilowatts into production in 2024 and 260,000 kilowatts into production in 2025.
In terms of technical routes, there are 12 single-technical-route energy storage projects and 7 hybrid energy storage projects, with lithium-ion battery energy storage of 1.4725 million kilowatts, compressed air energy storage of 260,000 kilowatts, sodium-ion battery energy storage of 107,500 kilowatts, and liquid flow battery energy storage of 30,000 kilowatts.
