Recently, the electromechanical project of Farasis Energy's 30GWh annual power production base, undertaken by the Southern Company under China Construction Engineering, started.
The project is located east of Reform Avenue and north of Talent Avenue in Knowledge City, Huangpu District, Guangzhou, with a total construction area of about 200,000 square meters. The construction content of China Construction Installation includes electromechanical installation projects of battery cell workshop, formation workshop, PACK workshop, power station and other single units. After the project is completed and put into production, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 30GWh of power batteries, which is expected to drive a number of upstream and downstream supporting industries such as positive electrode materials, silicon-carbon negative electrodes, and lithium battery equipment to settle in Guangzhou, which will effectively make up for the shortcomings of Guangzhou's power battery industry, help Guangzhou form a 100 billion-level new energy battery full industry chain, and build a trillion-level full industry chain cluster of intelligent network connection and new energy vehicles.
The project covers an area of approximately 360,000 square meters, with a total investment of approximately 10 billion yuan. It is expected to be officially put into production in 2025. The output value is expected to reach 20 billion yuan after production. It is one of the largest new energy vehicle parts projects in Guangzhou in recent years.
