Recently, the Hunan Jianghua 100MW/200MWh energy storage power station project and the Hunan Xiangyin 100MW/200MWh energy storage power station project supplied by Xuji Group and Xuji Electric under China National Electric Power Equipment Corporation have successfully passed the acceptance of the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Research Institute. They are the first batch of projects in the country that have successfully passed the grid-connected/grid-related test trials.

Project Overview

The Hunan Jianghua 100MW/200MWh Energy Storage Power Station Project and the Hunan Xiangyin 100MW/200MWh Energy Storage Power Station Project are the first large-scale independent shared energy storage power stations put into operation in Jianghua and Xiangyin, Hunan. The project has built two new liquid-cooled large-scale independent shared energy storage power stations, located in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County, Yongzhou City and Xiangyin County, Yueyang City, respectively, which is of great significance to improving the local power grid structure and enhancing the clean energy absorption capacity.

The total scale of the energy storage system supplied by Xuji is 200MW/400MWh, with a total of 56 3.58MW/7.16MWh energy storage units installed. Among them, the Jianghua and Xiangyin energy storage projects each cover an area of ​​about 17,400 square meters, and are respectively equipped with 100MW/200MWh battery energy storage systems, both of which use prefabricated containerized lithium battery energy storage systems, and each is equipped with a 110kV booster station.

01Integrate multiple new technologies to improve system safety and reliability

该项目为许继集团首个液冷型储能单元全生命周期配套及生产项目,首个3560kW储能升压变流一体机应用、配套及生产,通过结合储能电站领域集成、建设和运营等方面的能力和经验,综合应用非步入式储能集成技术,新一代底冷板液冷技术及自主研发的EMS系统(储能能量管理系统)等技术,使储能单元内的空间应用更加合理,电芯温度分布更加均匀,储能单元管理更加精细,显著提升储能电站整站的经济性、安全性、可靠性。

02Hard-core energy storage converter ensures stable operation of the system

The single-unit capacity of the CBL220-3560 energy storage inverter supplied by Xuji Electric is the largest in China among low-voltage grades. The equipment uses large-capacity power devices and adopts a heat dissipation design that combines internal and external circulation. On the basis of meeting the stable operation of the rated power of 3.56MW, it has a stronger overload operation capability. According to on-site testing, in the 1.2 times discharge overload test of the entire station, the maximum AC power of the energy storage inverter reached 4.4MW, which is 1.24 times the rated power. The AC current reached 3778A and the DC current reached 3516A. The equipment operated stably during the test, which will provide strong support for the stable operation of the power grid.

03 Assisting in the consumption of clean energy and improving the safety and stability of the power grid

项目并网投入运行后,可分别提供100MW调峰能力,具备1.2亿度以上的年充放电量,为电力系统调峰调频、无功电压和紧急功率支撑等提供了保障,显著增强了地区电力系统的灵活调节能力,以及增强了电力供应能力,促进新能源消纳,可缓解电网阻塞、改善电能质量等,为国家“双碳”目标及能源可持续发展作出了积极贡献。

The grid connection and acceptance of this project have played an important role in demonstrating and promoting the development of liquid-cooled energy storage systems and technologies. It plays an important role in improving the utilization efficiency of energy storage systems, promoting the consumption of new energy, reducing the load pressure on the power grid, and stabilizing the power grid structure.

04 Race against time to ensure smooth completion of project handover

In order to ensure the high-quality and on-time delivery of the project, Xuji Group and Xuji Electric selected elite personnel to form a project department, went deep into the production line, strictly abided by the factory standards, and through 90 days of day and night efforts, successfully completed the project grid-connected task and smoothly passed the grid-connected acceptance of Hunan Electric Power Research Institute, established a good reputation, and won the trust and unanimous praise of customers.
