On January 5, Lin Ying, Chairman of Hanlin Holding Group, Yu Youcheng, Chairman of China Sodium Energy Storage, and the China Sodium leadership team visited Baoji City to inspect the China Sodium Energy Storage Manufacturing Base, conducted a field survey of the all-vanadium flow battery project, and held an exchange meeting on this year's all-vanadium flow battery energy storage work and the construction and promotion of key tasks of the Baoji base in 2024. The technical personnel attending the meeting gave a detailed report on the overall situation of this year's all-vanadium flow battery energy storage project, the industrial development plan, and the implementation plan of key tasks in 2024.
Zhongna Energy Storage is a dark horse in the new energy storage industry in the unicorn incubator. For a long time, Hanlin Holding Group has been committed to further implementing the strategic deployment of new energy, insisting on innovation-driven leadership, and taking the lead in green and low-carbon development. In the early days of its establishment, it received attention from major capitals, and the seed round of funds was first entered by the Shaanxi Provincial Guidance Fund Aerospace Venture Capital. Zhongna Energy Storage relies on its technological advantages and profound industry background, and the number of orders continues to increase.
During the discussion, Yu Youcheng, Chairman of China Sodium Energy Storage, proposed five major topics for this meeting: 1. Report on the establishment of an industrial base by China Sodium and the detailed plan being planned; 2. Detailed path for research and development; 3. Key sales directions for products; 4. Formulation of management plans; and 5. Summary of this year's work and positioning of next year's work tasks.
During the report, the relevant person in charge of the China Sodium Energy Storage Manufacturing Base briefly explained the overall planning and construction plan of the base, described the positioning and goals of the new products and presented slides, and reported on the layout of key R&D work in 2024. At the same time, suggestions were made that the company should increase its support for technology companies, experimental teams, and operation and maintenance teams.
Among them, a detailed introduction was given to the application status, operation status, layout plan of battery equipment, economic benefits, etc. of the energy storage technology of all-vanadium liquid flow batteries in 2023. The expected goals, storage power, equipment operation status, system management methods, battery charging and discharging methods, effective utilization rate, planned scale, and industrialization of the 2024 all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage demonstration project were highlighted and reported.
After listening to the report, General Manager Yu mentioned that we should focus on the overall planning and construction plan of the construction base, and at the same time, the cost needs to be considered in detail, and the construction should be carried out step by step. The main focus of the base construction next year should be on the office building, and the second focus should be on the product center and functional usage.
Secondly, the production of battery stacks will be the key work direction in 2024. I agree with the valuable suggestions put forward by the technical director to increase support for technology companies, experimental teams, and operation and maintenance teams, and to expand our product after-sales team. At the same time, in 2024, the implementation of 32-kilowatt battery stacks and key materials is a top priority, and it will be accelerated by completing it by the end of March as reported.
In 2024, we will increase capital investment in research and development, first developing formulas, then equipment, and continuously improving the structure, with the goal of reducing energy storage costs. In the future, we will continue to explore cost reduction channels for membranes, so that we can successfully develop the fourth-generation new technology. The focus of future cost reduction will be on battery stacks and electrolytes.
Mr. Yu and Mr. Lin highly recognized the on-site report and the key work arrangements of China Sodium for next year, and asked to speed up the implementation and strive to make the characteristics of Baoji Base with the most advanced methods. At the same time, we should closely contact the cooperation of industry, academia and research institutions, use our "point" thinking to replace the breadth of "surface", and do it from a macro point to replace the surface. The key work should still be on when the overall battery stack can be completed and when the new products can be produced. The systematization time needs to be closely followed up.
Chairman Lin Ying pointed out that next year we will rely on Hanlin to build an industrial layout of a zero-carbon industrial park in the International Artificial Intelligence Innovation Park, the user side of energy storage all-vanadium liquid flow batteries, to create green and low-carbon new energy goals, strengthen corporate and regional cooperation, especially in the field of energy storage, and fully serve regional integrated development. At the same time, we will promote the rapid implementation, construction and effectiveness of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage power stations, achieve win-win results for enterprises and local governments, and realize common development. Let's keep up the good work and jointly promote the early realization of the goals.
