On November 28, the 2023 Huiyang District New Energy Storage Technology Innovation and Industry Development Conference was held in Huiyang City, Guangdong Province. Wang Qi, general manager of China Shipping Energy Storage Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Shipping Energy Storage), and academician Xu Chunming, chief scientist, were invited to attend.
During the conference, China Shipping Energy Storage and Huiyang District Urban Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. signed a project cooperation agreement. There are two projects that need to be implemented as soon as possible: one is China Shipping Energy Storage's 100MW/500MWh iron-chromium liquid flow battery grid-side energy storage power station; the other is the iron-chromium liquid flow electrolyte factory. Among them, the 100MW/500MWh iron-chromium liquid flow battery grid-side energy storage power station project plans to invest 1 billion yuan and is expected to start construction before the end of this year.
The 100MW/500MWH iron-chromium liquid flow battery energy storage power station project signed this time is another milestone energy storage project of 100MW level signed by China Shipping Energy Storage after the 2MW/10MWh iron-chromium liquid flow battery user-side energy storage power station was landed in Huiyang in October. In addition, the iron-chromium liquid flow electrolyte factory project is an important measure for China Shipping Energy Storage to build a "one core, one north and one south" strategic layout based on the core of the Beijing headquarters base and facing the domestic market. It is of great significance for the company to layout the power import market in the economically developed southern regions and cultivate industrial clusters.
