On October 27, the China Resources Lopu Energy Storage EPC project, the largest electrochemical energy storage power station in Hotan, Xinjiang, which was constructed by China Energy Engineering Anhui Institute, was connected to the grid at full capacity.

The project is located in the Gobi Desert area of ​​Hotan, Xinjiang, with a construction scale of 100MW/400MWh, and consists of 80 battery prefabricated cabins and 40 PCS prefabricated cabins, forming 40 energy storage units. The power station can generate 146 million kWh of electricity per year, equivalent to the electricity required by 250,000 residential users for one month, based on one charge and one discharge per day.

After the project is completed, it will effectively play a supporting role in peak load regulation, frequency regulation, and voltage regulation, promote the deep integration of regional energy storage, new energy, and loads, and enhance the flexibility of power grid operation. It is of great significance to promote Xinjiang's energy transformation and build a clean energy highland.
