Qingdao: Orderly development of pumped storage to promote large-scale demonstration of energy storage methods

On October 6, the Shandong Provincial People's Government issued the Qingdao Metropolitan Area Development Plan, which mentioned:

Coordinate the construction of energy supply and demand infrastructure. Develop pumped storage in an orderly manner, and actively promote large-scale demonstration of energy storage methods such as electricity storage and phase change material energy storage.

Promote the complementary development of urban agglomeration industries. Improve the manufacturing level in the middle regions, focus on Jimo, Jiaozhou, Huangdao and other regions, rely on Qingdao National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster, implement the cluster building and chain strengthening action, focus on the development of high value-added manufacturing industries and links, create smart home appliances, high-end chemicals, marine equipment and other advantageous industrial landmarks, cultivate virtual reality, biomedicine and medical equipment, general aviation, hydrogen energy and energy storage and other emerging industrial landmarks, and form a leading industry that can effectively drive regional industrial upgrading and efficient allocation of resource elements.

Accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of the economy. Actively develop green and low-carbon industries such as hydrogen energy and energy storage , energy conservation and environmental protection, cultivate a number of industrial clusters and leading enterprises, and create a demonstration benchmark for green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot areas.
