Recently, Intertek Tianxiang Group (hereinafter referred to as "Intertek") issued ETL, CB, CE and other series of certificates for the 20-foot 5.0MWh POWER BLOCK2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system developed by Shanghai Chint Power System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chint Power"), which is the first 20-foot 5.0MWh battery cabin energy storage system in the industry to pass the certification, officially marking that the product can smoothly enter the North American and European markets. The certification ceremony was held at Shanghai Chint Power System Co., Ltd., and Mr. Xiang Haifeng, Deputy General Manager of Chint Power, and Mr. Jin Zhibin, General Manager of Intertek Electronics and Electrical Northeast China, attended the certification ceremony.

Since the beginning of this year, the energy storage industry in my country and even the world has achieved rapid growth, and the scale of energy storage has been strong. In 2023, global energy storage demand is expected to reach 189GWh, a year-on-year increase of more than 60%. The United States, China, and the European Union have become the world's three largest energy storage markets, accounting for about 80% of the total increase, and the total scale continues to grow. 2023 is not only a critical period for China's energy storage scale, but also the year when China's energy storage overseas expansion will be fully launched.

The Chint Power POWER BLOCK2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system that has obtained Intertek certification is mainly used for power supply side/grid side energy storage, as well as various medium and large industrial and commercial user side energy storage, mainly for overseas energy storage power stations. Intertek has conducted a comprehensive technical evaluation and rigorous testing of the system in terms of intrinsic safety, electrical safety, environmental adaptability, and service life of core components, and issued a series of certification certificates such as ETL, CB, and CE based on relevant standards such as UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, CB IEC 62619, IEC 63056, and EN62477.
The POWER BLOCK2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system combines the three advantages of high specific energy, high performance, and high safety. It is currently the world's highest volume-to-capacity liquid-cooled energy storage system, and a standard 20-foot battery compartment can accommodate 5MWh. At the same time, in order to achieve long-term reliability and safety of the system, it adopts an all-round and full-domain safety design. Its intelligent liquid cooling temperature control technology and multi-stage variable diameter liquid cooling pipeline design can achieve a temperature difference of <1.5°C between pack-level cells and a temperature difference of <3°C between system-level cells, effectively improving the system cycle life and project benefits over the entire life cycle.
