Recently, Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group won the bid for the innovative demonstration project of compressed air + lithium battery combined grid-side shared energy storage power station in Tongwei County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province.
This is the first large-scale lithium battery energy storage system integration order from Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group at the State Power Investment Corporation. The project is a key supported construction project in the "National Energy Administration's 2023 Rural Revitalization Targeted Assistance and Counterpart Support Work Points", and is also the first grid-side shared energy storage innovation demonstration project of the State Power Investment Corporation's compressed air + lithium battery combination solution.
The total scale of the project is 100 MW/400 MWh, and the scale of the first phase construction is 50 MW/200 MWh, of which the compressed air installed capacity is 10 MW/110 MWh and the lithium battery energy storage system has a supporting installed capacity of 40 MW/90 MWh.
After the project is completed, the new model of comprehensive utilization of new energy storage can effectively alleviate the peak and frequency regulation pressure of new energy electricity, improve the power supply structure and energy absorption capacity of the power grid, and help consolidate and enhance the local power supply guarantee capability and power grid security.
