Recently, Enpower Greentech (a solid-state battery company with offices in China, Japan, and the United States) has successfully developed a 18650 cylindrical battery with a capacity of 4095mAh, achieving an industry-leading energy density (389Wh/kg and 888Wh/L). This development has set a new energy density record for rechargeable 18650 cylindrical batteries; compared to batteries currently on the market, Enpower's batteries are at least 20% lighter and have an energy density at least 15% higher, which will provide lighter and more energy-efficient batteries for drones, electric aircraft, and electric vehicles.

At present, the 18650 lithium metal battery developed by Enli Power is in the trial production stage. Enli Power will actively cooperate with various battery application customers, including car companies, to jointly promote the "next generation" cylindrical batteries to commercial applications, and gradually expand the models of ultra-high specific energy cylindrical battery products to models such as 21700 and 4680. According to the current cell design of Enli Power's 18650 battery, if the battery size is enlarged to 4680, the battery capacity is expected to reach 32Ah and the weight energy density can reach more than 400Wh/kg (Tesla's current 4680 battery capacity is about 27.5Ah and the weight energy density is about 300Wh/kg).
