Recently, the energy storage technology testing laboratory of the Three Gorges Ulanqab "source-grid-load-storage" technology research and development test base was put into operation. The laboratory is a key technology verification platform built by the Three Gorges Group Science and Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Three Gorges Research Institute") to help the country achieve its dual carbon goals. It will be committed to the development of energy storage equipment testing, energy storage station operation and maintenance, and standard formulation, and further promote the development of energy storage technology.
The laboratory has five functional platforms, including the energy storage battery monomer performance test platform, energy storage battery module performance test platform, energy storage battery management system performance test platform, energy storage converter system performance test platform and energy storage battery safety test platform. The platform will obtain the characteristics of various energy storage components, evaluate the ability of components to meet the needs, and provide a reference for the design of energy storage power stations. At the same time, the laboratory can also detect the performance degradation of energy storage components, avoid and reduce safety accidents in energy storage stations, and extend the service life of energy storage components.
In the next step, the laboratory will actively apply for CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment), CMA (China Metrology Accreditation) and other qualifications, and strive to build a comprehensive and authoritative energy storage technology testing and certification platform with integrated energy storage battery monomers and systems.
