Recently, Xiamen Haichen Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. (Haichen Energy Storage) officially completed its B round of financing, with a total amount of over 2 billion yuan. This round of financing was led by ABC International and co-led by CCB Equity, with participation from multiple investment institutions and industrial capital such as Matrix Partners, Shengtun Group, Peak Capital, Richu Capital, Torch Ventures, Xiamen Venture Capital, and Goldwind Investment. The funds will be mainly used for Haichen Energy Storage's capacity expansion, advanced equipment procurement, technology research and development, market development and other business layouts.
Haichen Energy Storage focuses on the ultimate energy storage solution, and accelerates the layout in project construction, product research and development, production and manufacturing, market expansion, etc. with the high-quality "Haichen New Speed". At present, the M1 smart factory with an annual output of 15GWh in the first phase of the Xiamen lithium battery project has been fully put into production. The second phase of the project started as scheduled in June this year, with a planned annual production capacity of 30GWh, and will be fully completed in 2023. According to the capacity release plan, Haichen Energy Storage will achieve an annual production capacity of more than 100GWh in 2024 and fully achieve the annual production capacity target of 135GWh in 2025.
In terms of product research and development, the company has always adhered to the low-cost and low-carbon research and development strategy, and has deeply cultivated high-efficiency, long-life, and highly safe energy storage exclusive technologies. It has released innovative products such as the first 300Ah power storage battery and large cylindrical household energy storage battery, and will start global delivery in the first quarter of 2023. In terms of manufacturing, the company has achieved low-cost and highly consistent intelligent manufacturing by building a safe and leading industrial ecological chain. In terms of market development, the company has deeply cultivated high-quality customers in the industry and grown together. It has successively reached comprehensive strategic cooperation with domestic leading power system companies and system integrators. In the future, it will accelerate the global strategic layout and focus on global brand strategic customers. Statistics show that among the top 10 leading wind power/photovoltaic/integrator companies in the industry in 2021*, more than 50% of the brands have reached cooperation with Haichen Energy Storage.
