Recently, CATL reached a cooperation with Solaris, a leading European electric bus company, to jointly promote the electrification transformation of European urban transportation.
CATL will provide lithium iron phosphate batteries using CTP (high-efficiency battery pack) technology for Solaris' bus products, promoting the electrification of buses and contributing to reducing carbon emissions and air pollution in Europe.
Thanks to the excellent characteristics of CATL's lithium iron phosphate battery system, such as long life and high thermal stability, the Solaris electric bus will show significant advantages in safety and temperature adaptability. At the same time, by eliminating the battery module link in the traditional battery pack, CATL's pioneering CTP technology can improve battery energy density and the payload of electric buses, helping to promote sustainable urban transportation.
Solaris, headquartered in Poland, is one of the leading bus and trolleybus manufacturers in Europe. In its 25 years in the industry, Solaris has manufactured more than 22,000 vehicles, providing urban transportation services to hundreds of cities in Europe. In 2021, Solaris ranked first in the European zero-emission bus market. The cooperation with CATL will help Solaris further expand its product range with new battery solutions.
This cooperation will also further improve the global layout of CATL's commercial business, accelerate the electrification transformation of global commercial vehicles, and promote the early realization of full electrification and carbon neutrality goals.
