On April 14, the State Energy Group Longyuan Power Gansu Company successfully registered the Dunhuang 700MW "solar thermal energy storage + photovoltaic" integrated comprehensive energy demonstration project.
The project is located in the CSP and PV Collaborative Demonstration Base in Qili Town, Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, about 16 kilometers away from Dunhuang City. The planned total installed capacity is 700 MW, including a 100 MW molten salt linear Fresnel CSP project, a 600 MW PV project and a 330 kV collection station. It adopts the integrated development and construction of "CSP energy storage + PV" to achieve CSP energy storage and PV multi-energy complementarity.
After the project is completed and put into operation, the average annual on-grid power generation will be about 1.528 billion kWh, which can save about 466,100 tons of standard coal each year, and correspondingly reduce smoke emissions by 6,220 tons, nitrogen dioxide emissions by 5,314 tons, and carbon dioxide emissions by 1.38 million tons, which can effectively reduce air pollution. In addition, it can also save a lot of fresh water resources, reduce the noise generated by coal-fired power plants and the corresponding environmental and ecological impacts caused by the transportation and disposal of fuel and ash, and has obvious environmental benefits of reducing pollutant emissions, which is in line with my country's energy development strategy of accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, and contributes positive forces to promoting the new pattern of western development.
