On March 31, the Hutang 120,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power station built by China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. in Jiangxi was successfully connected to the grid at full capacity. The total annual online electricity generation can exceed 159 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to saving about 50,800 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 137,000 tons each year, effectively promoting local energy structure adjustment and social and economic sustainable development.
The photovoltaic power station with energy storage is located in Hutang Township, Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province. It is a "fish-photovoltaic complementary" photovoltaic power generation project, including a 120,000-kilowatt photovoltaic project and a 12-megawatt supporting energy storage project, occupying a water area of 2,649 mu. The power station is also the first project put into operation by Huaneng Fengcheng's 1 million-kilowatt ecological comprehensive utilization photovoltaic demonstration base. As Huaneng's first project in Jiangxi developed in a whole-county promotion mode, the photovoltaic demonstration base will build fish-photovoltaic, agricultural-photovoltaic, and forest-photovoltaic complementary power stations in 11 towns in Fengcheng City, and promote the implementation of carbon peak and carbon neutrality and rural revitalization strategies through comprehensive resource utilization.
Since the beginning of this year, the construction team of the Hutang 120,000-kilowatt photovoltaic storage power station has overcome difficulties such as repeated epidemics and tight supply of photovoltaic components. They have anchored the goal, increased pressure and efforts, and completed the project construction with high efficiency and high quality, demonstrating the speed, strength and spirit of Huaneng.
