China Energy Storage Network News: On April 6, professional control staff of Jiangsu Yancheng Power Supply Company promptly optimized and adjusted the operation mode of the local power grid in Sheyang area during the suspension of the 110 kV Xingjin Line according to the prompts popped up by the new energy grid-connected early warning system, so as to avoid overloading caused by multiple large wind farms connected to the grid through the No. 1 main transformer of the 220 kV Zhenyang substation during the load valley and new energy peak periods, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
The new energy grid-connected early warning system was independently developed by Yancheng Power Supply Company and officially went online on March 22. The system can accurately predict regional source-load power, conduct topological analysis and flow calculation, and provide visual early warning prompts for risks such as overload of main transformers and lines, cross-section flow and voltage over-limit that may occur during grid maintenance, thus assisting dispatchers to arrange grid operation more accurately and efficiently.
According to reports, by the end of March, the total installed capacity of new energy in Yancheng had exceeded 12 million kilowatts. "Some substations along the coast of Yancheng are far away from the load center, but they are concentrated access points for new energy. Under maintenance, they may face the risk of obstruction of new energy power transmission and cross-section current limit. It is necessary to comprehensively and meticulously coordinate the operation plan of the grid plant and scientifically and reasonably arrange the operation mode of the grid." Zhang Yin, director of the control center of Yancheng Power Supply Company, introduced.
