China Energy Storage Network News: On March 15, Qinghai Power Trading Center Co., Ltd. carried out the 2022 Qinghai Province Clean Heating Project Valley Electricity Marketization Trading based on the Qinghai Power Trading Platform. The center represented 3 clean heating customers and 40 new energy companies to trade a total of 7.169 million kWh of valley electricity, helping to improve the utilization rate of new energy in Qinghai and promote the construction of a clean energy industry highland in the province. This is the first time that Qinghai has carried out a clean heating valley electricity marketization transaction.
According to the notice of the Qinghai Provincial Development and Reform Commission on adjusting the peak-valley time-of-use electricity price policy for clean heating and other related matters, during the photovoltaic power generation period in the province, Qinghai Province adjusted the heating peak-valley period electricity price policy based on the production characteristics of thermal storage boilers, further widened the peak-valley electricity price gap, and thus promoted the application of thermal storage electric boilers for heating.
During this transaction, based on the research on the topic of clean heating electric boiler customers participating in electricity trading in 2021, the Qinghai Power Exchange Center guided the customers of heat storage electric boilers to use electricity to store heat during the valley period from 9 to 17 o'clock, combining the energy storage characteristics of heat storage boilers, and not using or using less electricity during other periods to reduce production and operation costs. Through market-oriented methods, new ways to absorb new energy electricity are expanded, the utilization rate of new energy is improved, and the construction of a new power system demonstration zone is assisted.
