On December 14, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. and Eaton Power (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian. Zhu Yansong, General Manager of CATL Energy Storage Division, and Li Haiping, General Manager of Eaton Critical Power Division Asia Pacific, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, Tan Libin, Chief Customer Officer and President of Energy Storage Division, and Liu Hui, President of Eaton Electrical Asia Pacific and President of Eaton Group China, witnessed the signing ceremony on site. At the same time, Craig Arnold, Global CEO of Eaton, and Uday Yadav, Global Chief Operating Officer of Eaton Electrical Group, also witnessed this important moment through video conference.
Against the backdrop of countries around the world actively advocating energy transformation and striving to achieve carbon neutrality, the two sides will, based on their common vision in the field of energy transformation and sustainable development, uphold the principles of "complementary advantages, mutual benefit, sincere cooperation and common development" to carry out all-round strategic cooperation, share and integrate high-quality resources in their respective fields.
According to the agreement, this strategic cooperation involves product research and development, marketing, business model and service response mechanism. CATL will help Eaton improve its lithium battery uninterruptible power supply solutions for enterprise-level applications, and Eaton will provide efficient and energy-saving products and solutions for CATL's smart manufacturing projects.
The two parties will also jointly explore energy storage solutions for different application scenarios, fully leveraging CATL's leading advantages in global new energy application solutions and services and Eaton's comprehensive capabilities in providing enterprise digital and intelligent solutions, to jointly create a digital energy storage overall solution and contribute to global energy transformation and sustainable development.
