On the 7th, Tesla announced that the 2,800-kilometer Tesla Yunnan-Tibet Line was officially opened. It is understood that the line starts from Kunming, Yunnan, passes through Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Meili and then enters Tibet. Along the way, Tesla has built 14 super charging stations and one destination charging station.

At present, Tesla has built 14 supercharging stations along the Yunnan-Tibet line, located in Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Meili, Mangkam, Basu, Bomi, Nyingchi, Gongbu Gyamda, Lhasa, Shigatse, Tingri and other cities. In addition, in May 2021, Tesla built its first plateau supercharging station along the Sichuan-Tibet section of National Highway 318, and its Northwest Grand Loop Supercharging Line was officially opened in August this year.
