In order to promote the application of new energy vehicles, our city has vigorously promoted the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in recent years. At present, more than 200 charging piles have been built in the city, covering urban areas and various towns to facilitate new energy vehicle owners to charge nearby.
In recent years, our city has successively issued the "Taishan City Work Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (2018-2020)" and the "Taishan City Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Layout Plan (2018-2020)", focusing on building a rationally laid out, convenient and efficient electric vehicle charging infrastructure system covering the entire city. Charging facilities with fast charging as the main and slow charging as the auxiliary will be built in commercial complexes, public service facilities, public parking lots, highway service areas, gas stations and on both sides of roads with parking conditions to meet the daily production and life needs of the people and promote the charging infrastructure to benefit people's livelihood.
In accordance with the configuration principles of "overall planning, classified implementation", "moderately advanced, scientific layout", "planning and construction, general openness", and "market-led, coordinated promotion", our city insists on planning first to ensure the construction of charging infrastructure in newly built residential communities, newly built commercial service industries, internal parking lots of public institutions, newly built highway services, and gas stations with conditions.
As of the end of last year, our city has built a total of 195 charging piles, including 4 charging stations and 48 public charging piles, covering 17 towns (streets) in the city, distributed in bus stops, commercial complexes, communities, tourist attractions, public parking lots, etc., and achieving a 1-kilometer radiation range in the city's urban core area, meeting the daily use of approximately 200 new energy buses and private passenger cars.
This year, our city plans to build 15 public charging piles with a total investment of 3 million yuan. Currently, the charging station at the South Gate Station of the Municipal Bus Branch (4 charging stations with 8 poles) has been put into use.
Focusing on the coordinated development of charging infrastructure and electric vehicles, our city has also planned to set up a number of charging piles and parking spaces in the old city. Abu saw that brand new charging piles and parking spaces for new energy vehicles have been put into use in the streets and residential areas around the bus terminal and Dongfu Garden in Dongmen, greatly facilitating nearby residents.
