On November 20, State Grid Electric Vehicle Company held a launch event with the theme of "New Infrastructure: Millions of Access, New Momentum and Energy Interconnection", announcing that State Grid's smart Internet of Vehicles platform has connected to more than 1.03 million charging piles, covering 29 provinces and 273 cities across the country, serving 5.5 million electric vehicle consumers, making it the world's most widely covered, largest number and most capable charging pile network.
Among the more than one million charging piles connected to the platform, there are 626,000 public charging piles, accounting for 93% of the total number of public charging piles in the country and 66% of the total number of public charging piles in the world; 380,000 personal charging piles are connected across the country, accounting for nearly 46% of the total number of private charging piles in my country.
Since then, from the ten vertical and ten horizontal highway backbone networks, to the "capillary" charging network throughout China's fourth and fifth tier cities, from dedicated charging stations covering public transportation, sanitation, logistics and other fields, to private shared charging piles that have been deeply integrated into the community to achieve intelligent upgrades, electric car owners only need to use an APP to enjoy nationwide charging services.
In recent years, the application scope of new energy vehicles has become increasingly wide, and new and higher requirements have been continuously put forward for charging and swapping service infrastructure.
The State Grid's smart Internet of Vehicles platform has always been committed to building a full-scenario coverage network for charging and swapping services, providing users with high-quality and convenient charging and swapping experience.
Based on the charging and swapping technology research and development, model exploration and engineering demonstration actively carried out by State Grid Corporation of China since 2006, this charging network that aggregates the resources of millions of charging piles has accumulated rich practical experience in the interactive technology research and business model innovation of electric vehicles and energy Internet.
At present, through smart charging, electric car owners can already take advantage of low-load charging to comprehensively reduce charging costs, assist in participating in grid peak and frequency regulation, and improve the utilization rate of charging equipment while helping the grid to operate safely.
At the same time, through V2G technology, users can also send electricity back to the grid during peak hours, turning electric vehicles into mobile energy storage power stations and obtaining added value from participating in peak-shaving and valley-filling of the grid.
As a bridge for interaction between electric vehicle users and the power grid, in the next step, State Grid Electric Vehicle Company will assume the role of load aggregator, integrate small and medium-sized load users to participate in the electricity market, minimize the impact of massive distributed loads on the power grid, guide load resources through professional technical means, and participate in the interactive response of the power grid in a timely manner.
At the same time, green electricity trading with electric vehicles as the main body will be carried out to promote the charging of new energy vehicles with new energy electricity.
▲State Grid Corporation of China released the "China New Energy Vehicle Charging Data Application Analysis Report" for the first time
At the press conference, State Grid Corporation of China released the "China New Energy Vehicle Charging Data Application Analysis Report" for the first time. The content spans the upstream and downstream of the new energy vehicle industry chain, innovatively combining new energy vehicle driving big data with charging big data, and analyzing the charging behavior characteristics of new energy vehicles in various scenarios. It provides a theoretical basis for the rational layout of charging and swapping networks, provides technical support for the government to introduce corresponding policies, and realizes the coordinated development of the "people-vehicle-pile-network" of the Internet of Vehicles, which is of great significance for exploring new operating models for the charging industry.
