Up to now, Sungrow's inverter shipments in the Chilean market have exceeded 1GW. This is another great achievement of Sungrow in the inverter market in Latin American countries after the shipments in Brazil exceeded 1GW.

1500V solution becomes the local first choice, ranking first in the export list in 2020

Chile is the first country in Latin America to set a long-term renewable energy development goal, and it is expected that photovoltaic power generation will account for 11% of total power generation by 2025. Due to the continued decline in PPA prices and the gathering of European energy investment giants, the local requirements for system costs and advanced technologies are extremely stringent.

With inverters as the core, Sungrow provides Chile with a complete set of 1500V photovoltaic system solutions including combiner boxes, medium voltage systems, and monitoring systems. It also combines them with advanced technologies such as bifacial modules, large arrays, and high super-matching to further reduce the system's cost per kilowatt-hour and provide local customers with better solutions.

"The international market is a protracted battle, relying on brand competition supported by products and technologies," said Gonzaló Feito, Sungrow's country manager in Chile. Currently, Chile has a total installed photovoltaic capacity of about 4GW, and Sungrow alone has shipped more than 1GW to the country, ranking first in the 2020 Chinese corporate export list. Sungrow has also established a branch in the local area, formed a professional technical service team, and has successively cooperated with well-known companies such as Engie, ENEL, and Total.
