On April 15, the North China Branch of State Grid Corporation of China officially included the vehicle-to-grid interaction (V2G) charging pile resources into the North China power peak load auxiliary service market and formally settled them for the first time in China. Through V2G charging piles, electric vehicles can participate in real-time grid control and peak load auxiliary services in two forms: charging and discharging.
According to statistics and calculations, there are about 400,000 electric vehicles in the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan power grid supply area. If orderly vehicle-grid interaction is achieved through V2G, 1.8 million kilowatts of mobile high-quality regulation resources can be provided. After participating in the real-time regulation and peak-shaving auxiliary services of the power grid, the average daily peak-shaving income of electric vehicles accounts for about 60% of their charging costs, which can significantly reduce charging costs and effectively enhance the enthusiasm of electric vehicle users to participate.
To promote the smooth implementation of this work, State Grid North China Branch, State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., and NARI Group Co., Ltd. carried out multi-link technical innovation and breakthrough, implemented information modeling, data collection and control debugging, and completed a 72-hour automatic generation control (AGC) closed-loop test. The real-time clearing results are sent to the V2G charging piles in real time through the smart car networking platform, realizing the two-way power continuous regulation of new energy electric vehicles for two charging (nighttime and midday load trough) and two discharging (morning and evening load peaks) per day.
