Anhui's direct electricity trading volume reached 77.12 billion kWh last year

The 2019 Electricity Market Annual Report recently released by Anhui Power Exchange Center shows that in 2019, the exchange center organized and completed 77.12 billion kWh of direct transactions, a year-on-year increase of 33%. The average transaction price was 0.34605 yuan/kWh, which was 0.03835 yuan/kWh lower than the benchmark electricity price. The annual bilateral transaction volume was 76.02 billion kWh, with an average transaction price of 0.34697 yuan/kWh. The annual centralized bidding was 544 million kWh, with a unified clearing price of 0.26150 yuan/kWh. The energy cost of users was reduced by 5.2 billion yuan, and the proportion of market-based electricity in the total power consumption of the whole society increased by 5.3 percentage points to 33.5%.

It is reported that in 2019, the Anhui Power Exchange Center carried out market services in a standardized manner, and a total of 10,176 market entities were registered throughout the year, including 213 power sales companies, 9,934 power users, and 29 power generation companies.

In 2019, Anhui's total electricity consumption was 230.068 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.76%. By the end of 2019, the total installed capacity was 73.9446 million kWh, and the installed capacity of new energy was the second largest power source in the province, reaching 17.2034 million kWh.
