Sichuan Energy Investment actively promotes the resumption of work on rural power grid transformation and upgrading projects

People's Daily Online, Chengdu, February 22 (Wang Jun) According to the decision-making and deployment of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission on epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production, Sichuan Energy Investment Group has taken effective measures to orderly promote the resumption of work and production of key livelihood projects while going all out to prevent and control the epidemic. On February 21, Sichuan Energy Investment Group held a special video conference to start the battle against the epidemic in the resumption of work of the rural power grid transformation and upgrading project. Under the premise of ensuring epidemic prevention, a list was formulated, precise policies were implemented, and the early preparations for project construction were accelerated. The project was orderly promoted to resume work and production, and the greatest efforts were made to minimize the impact of the epidemic on production and operation.

The rural power grid transformation and upgrading project is an important livelihood project that expands effective investment, improves the quality of rural production and life, and benefits hundreds of millions of farmers. Sichuan Energy Investment completed the 10kV and below projects ahead of schedule in 2019, but currently affected by the epidemic, the 35kV and above projects in 2019 failed to resume work as originally planned, and the 2020 rural power grid project bidding also failed to proceed as scheduled.

In order to promote the project to resume work and production as soon as possible, Sichuan Energy Investment held the tenth meeting of the Rural Power Grid Reconstruction and Upgrading Project Leading Group in the form of online video on February 21. Li Yue, deputy general manager of Sichuan Energy Investment and executive deputy leader of the Rural Power Grid Leading Group, presided over the meeting. Wang Cheng, general manager of Sichuan Energy Investment and leader of the Rural Power Grid Leading Group, emphasized that the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government attach great importance to the rural power grid transformation and upgrading project, and Sichuan Energy Investment has always regarded the project as a key project and an important project for people's livelihood and people's hearts. All departments and participating units of the rural power grid project should further improve their political stance, take the rural power grid construction project as an important starting point for "serving the people and solving problems", thoroughly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and actively promote the resumption of work on the rural power grid project on the premise of making good preparations for epidemic prevention and control.

Wang Cheng required that Sichuan Energy Investment Hydropower Group and Sichuan Energy Investment Development should coordinate with the county power companies to effectively play their main responsibilities, make good preparations for epidemic prevention, and strengthen communication with the local governments of the projects to obtain approval for resumption of work as soon as possible; at the same time, they should speed up the bidding for the 2020 rural power grid projects and report to the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Energy Bureau in a timely and proactive manner; Sichuan Energy Investment Construction Group, Sichuan Energy Investment Power Sales Company, and Sichuan Energy Investment Yilian Company should strictly follow the provisions of various documents and the requirements of the local government to do a good job in project site epidemic prevention and control, safety hazard investigation and resumption of work; Sichuan Energy Investment Commodity Group should do a good job in docking with equipment, material manufacturers and construction units, and supply goods in a timely and orderly manner according to the progress of the project. All departments of Sichuan Energy Investment should continue to work together with relevant affiliated companies to overcome difficulties and ensure that the task of rural power grid transformation and upgrading is completed on schedule and with high quality.
