On the 1st, the reporter learned from State Grid Jibei Electric Power Co., Ltd. that with the official operation of the 110 kV Yunding substation a few days ago, all 7 core substations in the Chongli Winter Olympics core area have been put into operation. The "double ring network + double radiation" power grid structure of the Winter Olympics core area has been officially formed, which will provide green and reliable power support for the Winter Olympics.
Lin Jin, deputy general manager of State Grid Zhangjiakou Power Supply Company, introduced that all venues in the Zhangjiakou competition zone of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics are located in Chongli District, and the power supply reliability requirements are high. However, there was no 220 kV power supply point in Chongli area before, and the power supply relying solely on 110 kV voltage level cannot meet the power supply needs of the Winter Olympics.
To this end, in 2019, Zhangjiakou Power Supply Company completed 12 Olympic-related projects, added 1.17 million kVA of substation capacity, and added 637.07 km of lines. Among them, five substations were newly built and one 110 kV substation was expanded, including the 220 kV Zishangou Substation, Guyangshu Substation, 110 kV Fengquan Substation, Aoxue Substation, Yunding Substation, and Chongli Substation.
"Together with the existing Chongli North substation, all seven substations in the Chongli Winter Olympics core area have been put into operation, providing strong power support for the Winter Olympics." Lin Jin said.
The Jiefang 500 kV substation, which was put into operation on December 23, 2019, is an important upper power source for the seven core power stations. Zhang Hao, director of the Construction Department of the State Grid Zhangjiakou Power Supply Company, introduced that the station is a key node of the double-ring road network in the core area of the Winter Olympics and the third power supply for the Zhangjiakou competition area of the Winter Olympics. Its operation will meet the requirements of high-reliability power supply in the Winter Olympics competition area, improve the clean energy consumption capacity of the Winter Olympics venues, and enable the 2022 Winter Olympics to achieve green power coverage of all venues for the first time, which is also a pioneering effort in Olympic history.
During the interview, the reporter learned that 2019 was the Winter Olympics year for Zhangjiakou Power Supply Company. The construction unit fought against severe cold and heat, worked day and night, and delivered satisfactory results for the Winter Olympics power grid construction and local economic development. It also actively cooperated with Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Co., Ltd. to complete the construction of high-speed railway supporting power projects, providing strong guarantees for the Beijing-Zhangjiakou, Da-Zhangjiakou, and Zhang-Huhhot railways to be put into operation on schedule at the end of 2019.
