On December 24, at the North Phase III Wharf of Taicang Port, China, as the last blade was slowly hoisted onto the deck of the "Yellow River", the first shipment of Goldwind's Biala large-scale wind energy project in Australia was successfully completed. This is the third major Australian project that Hongfa Shipping has landed in the past two years, following the two major projects of Stockyard Hill and Cattle Hill, further deepening the strategic cooperation with the owner Goldwind and the Danish logistics giant Blue Water. Teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Taicang, Denmark, Singapore and Australia gathered at the North Phase III Wharf to witness the launch of the project.
The Biala wind energy project is located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, with a cargo volume of approximately 200,000 billable tons, and the unloading port is Port Kembla, south of Sydney. The project is scheduled to start construction in early 2020 and be put into operation that year, with an installed capacity of 108.5 MW.
Since opening the Australia-New Zealand route at the end of 2017, Hongfa Shipping has been brave in practice, leveraging its expertise, and innovating to develop. It has leveraged the winning bids for a number of high-quality projects to drive liner cargo sources, continuously expand its brand influence, and consolidate its cargo source base.
After five years of capacity deployment and growth, Hongfa Shipping has achieved full route access and full regional coverage in the southern hemisphere, including South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In 2020, Hongfa Shipping will continue to improve and upgrade the original Australian route, launch the Far East-Australia West quasi-liner, and create a higher quality and more sophisticated Australia and New Zealand route.
