This morning, good news came from the National Supercomputing Center of Hunan University in Changsha. Hunan University and Shenzhen GEM-listed company Jingwei Huikai announced the establishment of a UHV equipment and technology research and development center. Jingwei Huikai's strong capital, excellent technology, strong manufacturing capabilities and Hunan University's electrical discipline's leading scientific research strength in the country will combine to achieve "Made in China" and "China Leading" in the core technology of UHV equipment manufacturing.
It is reported that the two sides will focus on strengthening cooperation in the areas of high-voltage equipment manufacturing and advanced insulation material research, equipment status intelligent perception technology research based on the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, new energy efficient storage technology research for power grids, and superconducting material research for the power and electrical fields. Through joint efforts, the two sides are committed to building the "Center" into an industrialization base for ultra-high voltage equipment research and related technology and product development, a research visit base for researchers, a teaching practice base for students, and a training and cultivation base for electrical technical personnel.
According to Wang Yaonan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at Hunan University, the establishment of the R&D center meets the country's strategic needs. High voltage technology plays a very important role not only in the power industry, but also in various fields such as special equipment, navigation, and high-speed rail in the future. It has become a key core technology. It is hoped that the R&D center will make major breakthroughs in UHV technical equipment, UHV key sensing technology, UHV energy storage technology, and interconnection technology in the future.
