On November 26, the Zhuhe City Multifunctional Smart Energy Complex located in the Zhengding area of the China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone was put into operation. This is an urban energy complex that integrates the substation, charging station, and data center of the Hebei Southern Power Grid, as well as the energy flow, business flow, and data flow. It can provide users with smart energy services and also serve as a model for the construction of future urban substations.
The construction of Zhuhe City Multifunctional Smart Energy Complex is based on the 110 kV Zhuhe Substation. During the construction process, State Grid Hebei Electric Power Co., Ltd. absorbed the concept of smart city and created a cross-industry digital energy information sharing platform, a smart and efficient energy public service platform, and a comprehensive energy integrated operation and management platform.
The station realizes multiple social service functions based on the traditional substation, and is equipped with unmanned smart business hall, multi-functional exhibition hall, data center station, electric vehicle charging station, and 5G base station. The station makes full use of pipeline, transmission, power and other resources to provide a good installation environment for the construction of 5G base stations.
Here, users can experience one-stop human-computer interaction services through intelligent robots and virtual experience devices, and experience functions such as fast charging, scheduled charging, mobile payment, and real-time charging monitoring.
The station adopts a comprehensive energy utilization mode of wind, solar and storage. A solar power generation device is installed on the roof of the building with an installed capacity of 129.58 kilowatts and an annual power generation of 9,470 kilowatt-hours. It is equipped with a 28.8-kilowatt ground source heat pump, which can not only meet the station's own cooling and heating needs, but also provide heating to surrounding users.
The station is equipped with multiple servers. Through the integrated energy management platform, it collects information such as the power grid system status, wind and solar power generation status in the station, equipment operation status, and environmental status in real time. It uses the "source-grid-load-storage" optimization and coordination control technology to achieve energy self-sufficiency and negative energy consumption with surplus energy. At the same time, the station coordinates energy complementarity, optimizes control, and displays a panoramic view of the power supply area, effectively improving the comprehensive utilization and overall management of multiple energy sources.
During the construction process, State Grid Hebei Electric Power applied a digital engineering management platform to achieve digital control of the entire process, all business, and all elements of engineering safety, quality, and progress; established a digital micro-meteorological station, which was automatically linked to the on-site dust reduction device to achieve dust-free installation of the entire station; made full use of land resources, saved land, and integrated the building design inside the station with the surrounding environment; used insulation, noise reduction, and radiation-proof building materials to arrange noise reduction for electrical equipment. The company used the Zhuhe City Multifunctional Smart Energy Complex as a "training ground" for the construction of the Xiong'an power grid, and carried out planning, design, and construction in accordance with the concept of green environmental protection, laying the foundation for the promotion and application of related technologies in Xiong'an.
In the next step, State Grid Hebei Electric Power will use the Zhuhe City Multifunctional Smart Energy Complex as a model to build a new type of urban substation that is environmentally friendly, intelligently controlled, and shared and win-win in the construction of Xiongan New Area and urban power grids with conditions.
