Recently, all the "West-to-East Power Transmission" channel adjustment projects of Shanxi Power Grid have obtained feasibility study review opinions. The implementation of this series of projects is of great significance to forming a clear inter-provincial grid structure, effectively solving the problem of excessive short-circuit current in the northern region of Shanxi Power Grid, expanding the development space of Shanxi Power Grid, and improving the UHV Shanxi power transmission capacity.

The project includes the adjustment of four 500 kV grid-to-grid channels, namely Daer-Fangshan, Shenkai-Baobei, Yangquan-Guishan and Lucheng-Xinan, into point-to-grid channels, involving the expansion of 500 kV intervals at five substations, with a total length of 500 kV lines reaching 429.5 kilometers.
