It is a typical application and implementation of the State Grid Corporation's ubiquitous power Internet of Things construction.

As the national green industry layout is accelerated and new energy vehicles are developing rapidly, the State Grid Electric Vehicle Company has joined forces with electric vehicle manufacturers to meet market demand and jointly create an innovative charging service package product - the vehicle-battery service package, which will provide solid infrastructure support and technical guarantees for the manufacturers, upgrade convenient and preferential services, and promote consumer demand in the electric vehicle market.

Simplify charging operation and experience plug and play charging in three scenarios

"At present, we have achieved the goal of shortening the charging operation from the original five steps to one step." Quan Shengming, chairman and party secretary of State Grid Electric Vehicle Company, said at the press conference that in order to implement the State Grid Corporation's "three types and two networks" strategic deployment, further improve users' charging experience, and build the core competitiveness of the Internet of Vehicles platform, State Grid Electric Vehicle Company launched the "plug and charge, contactless payment" technology research and development, which greatly improved the charging convenience of electric vehicle users, and has begun to promote its application in more than 3,000 State Grid public charging stations.

It is understood that "plug and charge" is a new revolution in service concepts. Through technology upgrades and product innovations, it brings users a simple, convenient, friendly and reliable new charging experience. The "plug and charge" launched by State Grid Electric Vehicle Company this time is divided into dedicated station scenarios, public station scenarios and private charging pile scenarios.

"The plug-and-charge at the dedicated station is suitable for charging vehicles exclusively for group customers. It has a limited user range and is professionally closed and not open to the public." According to Shen Jianxin, general manager of State Grid Electric Vehicle Company, the plug-and-charge at the dedicated station is suitable for binding vehicle information and accounts, and the charging operation is more simplified. The charging operation process is very simple. Except for connecting and disconnecting the charging gun, the user does not need to perform any special operations, which greatly improves the charging efficiency. At the same time, there is support from a professional team to eliminate the risk of vehicle identification information being forged or stolen. The use of vehicles can be supervised, the charging volume of dedicated stations can be accurately counted, and the energy efficiency assessment management level of vehicles can be improved.

Reporters learned from the press conference that compared with the public station scenario, the plug-and-charge and contactless payment functions in the public station scenario not only reduce the charging operation links and improve the customer service experience, but also use multiple technical means to ensure the account funds security, eliminating users' concerns about account fund risks.

The private charging station scenario is plug and charge. Through technical upgrades of private charging stations and vehicles, the charging process does not require human intervention, and you can go just after charging. There is no need for payment. Multiple technical means are also used to ensure the security of account funds.

"We guarantee to provide a charging facility service network with full coverage of all scenarios within our jurisdiction and a more dense layout; at the same time, we will achieve full coverage of the company's existing and incremental charging network plug-and-charge services." Shen Jianxin said that State Grid has currently built 90,000 self-operated charging piles, including 65,000 high-power DC fast charging piles. The public charging station fast charging network covers urban areas, suburbs, and scenic spots. At the same time, it has also built the world's largest "ten vertical, ten horizontal and two ring" high-speed charging network to ensure that car owners can travel without worries. In the future, more social charging pile companies will be introduced to provide high-quality services to new energy vehicle owners, ensuring that users of charging service packages can enjoy smooth charging within the region.

Shen Jianxin revealed that the State Grid Electric Vehicle Company will continue to increase the construction of charging stations to ensure that the radius of charging stations in the core area does not exceed 500 meters and the waiting time for charging at the same station does not exceed 30 minutes. Before June 2020, through technical upgrades and hardware transformation, the existing charging piles will fully support plug-and-charge technology, and all new charging piles will meet the requirements of "plug-and-charge, touchless payment", realizing "charging green electricity is more convenient than refueling".

Let electric vehicles become a new means of regulating the balance of the power system

In addition to providing more convenient fast-charging services for the development of electric vehicles, State Grid Electric Vehicle Company has also deeply explored the multiple values ​​of electric vehicles, enriched the means of regulating the balance of the power system, and accelerated the important engine of energy transformation, and further explored the two-way interaction technology between electric vehicles and power grids (V2G).

"When electric vehicles are not in operation, the battery energy can be transmitted to the power grid through a two-way smart charging station or charging pile with V2G function; conversely, when the electric vehicle battery needs to be fully charged, the battery can obtain electricity from the power grid." Shen Jianxin explained that the use of V2G technology can utilize the energy storage characteristics of the electric vehicle's own battery to achieve demand-side management, enhance the flexibility of the power grid, discharge and adjust the frequency at the right time, and use the peak-valley price difference to reduce electricity costs. At the same time, it can be used as an emergency power supply to meet various life electricity needs. It is cleaner, more efficient and less costly, effectively reducing users' car purchase and use costs; through the application of V2G technology, electric vehicles will be able to participate more deeply in power grid interaction, promote clean energy consumption, and become a more important part of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.

The reporter learned that the State Grid Electric Vehicle Company has completed the development of the platform management system and user-side APP of V2G applications, completed the development of low-power V2G DC charging piles, and jointly carried out the research and development of V2G function customized vehicles with relevant car companies, and carried out the construction of demonstration projects such as Renji Building. In 2019, it will promote 2,000 V2G electric vehicles and build 2,000 V2G two-way charging piles to explore a market-oriented operation model with reasonable costs and efficient business.

Quan Shengming said that at present, State Grid Electric Vehicle Company has successively launched a series of new charging technologies and business models such as orderly charging, V2G, and green electricity trading, integrating innovation with "consumption + industrial Internet" and striving to realize the Internet of Things perception of vehicles, charging piles, and networks.
