Recently, a batch of trucks carrying Sungrow's lithium iron phosphate energy storage system solutions arrived at the Jiangsu project site. This is another large-scale energy storage project in China after the 55MW/110MWh projects in Gonghe and Wulan, Qinghai, 60MW/120MWh in Hunan, and 20MW/10MWh in Guangdong. The project has a scale of 17MW/38.7MWh and will become the largest user-side lithium battery energy storage system in China after it is put into operation.
In summer, electricity consumption, especially during peak periods, has a large contradiction between supply and demand. In addition, most parts of my country implement time-of-use electricity prices, especially in the eastern region where large industrial electricity prices vary more. It is difficult for companies to avoid peak electricity consumption during daytime production, and the high electricity costs have long plagued the development of companies. In response to the customer's needs to reduce peak loads and improve grid friendliness, Sungrow provided the project with the world's top lithium battery energy storage system solution.
The solution adopts an "All in one" design, with highly integrated energy storage inverters, lithium batteries, energy management systems, etc. All core equipment is independently developed by Sungrow, and the batteries are installed in containers for overall transportation, which greatly reduces the amount of on-site work. In addition, Sungrow was the first to adopt a double-layer stacking solution in this project, saving more than 50% of floor space and further reducing investment costs. At the same time, the staggered design of the external air ducts of the upper and lower containers effectively reduces the interference of heat dissipation turbulence and ensures uniform temperature of the containers, thereby enhancing the safety of the battery system and extending the cycle life. The application of Sungrow's lithium battery solution can not only effectively reduce customers' electricity costs and increase customer profits, but also further improve the friendliness of the power grid while alleviating the pressure of electricity consumption during the peak period in summer, perfectly matching customer needs.
From the earliest off-grid projects to the world's largest installed capacity of energy storage converters in 2018, and now to more than 800 major energy storage projects around the world, Sungrow's energy storage performance has been rising steadily.
