China Energy Storage Network News: At 13:20 on June 20, the "emergency support" capability test of the integrated energy coordination control system (hereinafter referred to as the "co-control system") in the Tongli Regional Energy Internet Demonstration Zone in Jiangsu Province was a complete success, realizing the millisecond and thousand-second emergency support of the regional AC/DC hybrid distribution network to the large power grid for the first time in China. This is another major technological breakthrough after the successful "active isolated grid" capability test on May 9.
"Emergency support" is one of the three interactive response capabilities of the Tongli Demonstration Zone's coordinated control system with the large power grid. The millisecond-level emergency support capability means that when a serious fault or frequency stability problem occurs in the large power grid, the power control of fast-response equipment such as electrochemical energy storage in the regional distribution network is completed within 1 second, thereby providing active power support to the large power grid to restore the frequency.
Thousand-second emergency support capability means that when the lines or main transformers of the regional distribution network exceed the stability limit or are overloaded, the power control of the power generation and consumption equipment within the regional distribution network can be completed within 15 minutes, so that the external power supply equipment can be restored to a safe operation zone.
The experiment was organized and implemented by the control center of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. After nearly 40 days of research and development, it scientifically solved technical problems such as coordinated control information interaction between the regional distribution network control system and the large power grid control system, and priority control of adjustable equipment by the regional distribution network control system. It realized real-time calculation and upload of upper and lower adjustable margins and duration information, real-time issuance and decomposition execution of power adjustment commands, etc., which is of great significance to the operation and management of the future incremental distribution network area.
