"In the complex electromagnetic environment of a high-level substation, the actual measured wireless communication rate of a single user on site reached more than 400 megabits per second. This is not only an improvement in communication speed, but also lays the foundation for us to carry out smart substation operation and maintenance services such as VR inspection, automatic control, and mobile operations." On May 10, when talking about the 500 kV Guandu substation in Zhengzhou, Henan, which was the first to be built and put into operation, the stationmaster Li Chao was very excited.

The deployment of 5G technology application research is a "first move" made by the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company. This year, the company aims to be at the forefront of the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, focusing on promoting essential improvement and high-quality development. While doing the "required actions" of State Grid Corporation of China, it is deeply engaged in the fields of big data, integrated energy services, environmental monitoring, etc., striving to lead the whole from point to surface and make innovative breakthroughs.

Constructing a provincial energy big data development ecosystem

"Through this platform, we can monitor the load conditions of more than 420,000 distribution transformers in the province. During periods of tight power supply, we can optimize the load-capacity matching plan in advance based on the load conditions and operating trends of the distribution transformers." On May 7, Peng Lei, a specialist in the Henan Electric Power Equipment Department of the State Grid, said. He used one of the eight application scenarios that the State Grid Henan Electric Power Big Data Center has built - the distribution transformer operation analysis application scenario. By applying this scenario, the management of the distribution network area of the State Grid Henan Electric Power has achieved a transformation from "passive processing" to "active intervention", the management relationship has become flatter, and the lean level has been further improved.

This year, State Grid Henan Electric Power included the big data center in the ubiquitous power Internet of Things task list. Currently, eight application scenarios have been built, including power outage identification of large distribution network feeders, project construction progress, city and county business evaluation, and business expansion and installation monitoring and analysis. On April 1, the big data center release platform was officially launched, and relevant management positions at all levels of units obtained query and use rights, entering the substantive stage of data application.

While exploring the value of data and serving the business management of enterprises, State Grid Henan Electric Power actively explores the integration of energy data resources to serve the province's high-quality economic development. In the context of the Henan Provincial Government's clear support for the construction of the Henan Energy Big Data Application Center by State Grid Henan Electric Power, the company proposed to achieve the integration of energy data such as coal, electricity, oil, and gas with government and important customer data, vigorously build a provincial energy big data development ecosystem, and strongly support the energy production and consumption revolution in Henan Province.

"We have completed the review of the construction plan and will complete the development of the main functions of four scenarios before the end of June." A staff member of State Grid Henan Power who participated in the construction of the Henan Energy Big Data Application Center told reporters that soon, the center will play a role in Henan Province's energy monitoring and early warning, new energy planning, "Internet +" electricity convenience services, and new energy vehicle services.

Comprehensive energy services improve customers' energy efficiency

This year's government work report proposed that energy consumption per unit of GDP should drop by about 3%, which is one of the main expected goals for economic and social development this year. With this as the working direction, State Grid Henan Electric Power proposed to give full play to the role of power grid enterprises as the basic platform for clean energy configuration, actively carry out comprehensive energy services, improve customer energy efficiency, and promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the whole society.

On March 19, Henan Jiuyu Longyuan Energy Service Co., Ltd. and Anyang Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to cooperate in developing comprehensive energy services. Jiuyu Energy Service Company is a comprehensive energy service enterprise established by State Grid Henan Electric Power, and the Anyang Iron and Steel Project is a typical demonstration project of comprehensive energy services that the company has worked hard to build.

"We have deployed a dedicated team to Angang and developed an integrated comprehensive energy solution. In response to the company's energy utilization status and needs, we will provide energy-saving transformation, electricity substitution, energy consumption monitoring, big data analysis, energy efficiency diagnosis and evaluation, energy distribution and other services. According to preliminary estimates, after the implementation of the project, Angang can save 1.08 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, which is equivalent to saving 356,000 tons of standard coal." Wang Xiaojun, technical director of Jiuyu Longyuan Energy Service Company, told reporters.

Taking the Angang demonstration project as a sample, State Grid Henan Electric Power also used technologies such as "Internet +" to establish a provincial comprehensive energy service industry platform, expand the scope of comprehensive energy services, and enhance the capabilities and levels of comprehensive energy services.

This is a data sharing and win-win platform that widely connects the government, energy service providers, equipment suppliers, technical consulting agencies, design and construction units and corporate customers. "Through this platform, the government can accurately carry out energy consumption supervision and analyze the regional economic operation; power users can timely discover their own energy consumption anomalies and energy-saving points, obtain energy analysis reports and energy-saving suggestions; power supply companies can carry out more lean power supply services and expand the market." said a relevant person in charge of the State Grid Marketing Department.

This year, State Grid Henan Electric Power will first develop a provincial comprehensive energy service management and control platform to collect data on the distribution of water, electricity, coal, gas, cooling, heat and other energy in different production processes and energy-consuming equipment, conduct data modeling, carry out energy behavior analysis and energy management, and achieve a 5% improvement in comprehensive energy efficiency. In the next three years, Henan Province's comprehensive energy service industry platform will also connect to 50,000 small and medium-sized energy-consuming customers from all walks of life and 50,000 end customers.

Integration platform promotes energy conservation and emission reduction across the province

The nitrogen oxide level of Unit 1 of Shenhuo Power Plant is 53.9 mg/m3, and the nitrogen oxide level of Unit 1 of Hengyuan Power Plant is 65.4 mg/m3, and a red alert is issued... At 8:29 a.m. on April 25, the pollutant emission values of the units were updated in real time in the province's ultra-low emission environmental monitoring system for coal-fired power generation units built by State Grid Henan Electric Power.

"If a power plant fails to meet emission standards, the system will automatically display a red alert," said Zhang Shusen, director of the Dispatching and Planning Department of Henan Electric Power Dispatching and Control Center.

Based on the monitoring of this system, Henan Electric Power Control Center will promptly issue warnings to each generator set and adjust the power output. The general principle is to let energy-saving and environmentally friendly units generate more electricity and let inefficient and highly polluting units generate less electricity. This system is an important support for State Grid Henan Electric Power to carry out green environmental protection and assist in environmental governance throughout the province.

In order to better promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the province, State Grid Henan Electric Power has also developed an over-limit control system for key enterprises in the province, mainly to conduct real-time electricity consumption monitoring of high-energy-consuming and heavily polluting enterprises; developed an online monitoring system for heating units in the province, which is used to monitor heating and industrial heating, and support the heating units to reasonably participate in the peak operation of the power grid; developed a new energy grid-connected operation management system to serve the province's new energy power generation companies.

"These system platforms have played a very good role after being put into operation, but they all operate independently and their value has not been fully reflected," said Zhang Shusen.

In the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things this year, State Grid Henan Power will make full use of the existing platform to promote the integration of the platform system with the power dispatching D5000 system, further improve the environmental monitoring function from the aspects of emission reduction optimization of coal-fired units, full absorption of clean energy, and emergency control of heavy pollution weather, etc., to create an integrated power energy conservation and emission reduction platform to provide strong support for precise pollution control.
