China Energy Storage Network News: On the afternoon of April 18, at the State Grid Ningxia Company Yinchuan City Energy Internet Program Review Meeting, relevant experts introduced the content of distributed data center construction based on the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.

On April 15, the "multi-station integration" demonstration project of the 35kV Yinjiabang substation in Zhangjiang Science City, Pudong, Shanghai, was officially started. When it is expected to be completed in the middle of this year, the Yinjiabang substation will integrate the functions of the data center and energy storage station on the basis of the traditional substation, forming a typical application scenario of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things with the integration of energy flow, business flow and data flow.

Since the State Grid Corporation of China made a comprehensive deployment on the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things in early March, the implementation of the "three types and two networks, world-class" strategy has been pushed to a new height. Obviously, the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things has become a top priority within the State Grid system.

Shanghai Securities News reporters learned from various sources that 27 provincial branches of State Grid have formulated plans and goals for the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things. Next, State Grid will formulate an overall investment plan for the ubiquitous power Internet of Things based on the plans of each province and release it in due course.

As early as March 18, the "Action Plan for the Construction of Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things" formulated by State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company was released. It plans to fully launch the construction of ten major application projects of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and use the State Grid Corporation's "Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things Construction Outline" as a guide to determine the key work plan for 2019, which includes ten special construction tasks and three comprehensive demonstration areas.

State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. has preliminarily identified 20 demonstration projects and 11 research and innovation topics around the first phase goals of the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and will iteratively promote the construction and application of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.

State Grid Jibei Electric Power Co., Ltd. has also made comprehensive arrangements for the construction of a ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and identified 22 special pilot construction tasks, among which "power trading with virtual power plant access" is included as a key task to promote the consumption of clean energy.

Recently, the Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things Intelligent Perception Laboratory, jointly built by State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was established in Shanghai, marking an exploratory step in the construction of Shanghai's ubiquitous power Internet of Things.

Zeng Ming, director of the Energy Internet Research Center of North China Electric Power University, said in an interview with a reporter from the Shanghai Securities News that the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is a major support point for the next transformation of State Grid Corporation, and its development potential is unquestionable. The ubiquitous power Internet of Things mainly consists of two parts. One part is aimed at the internal business of the power grid, aiming to improve the level of informatization of the internal business of the power grid and make the system operation more reliable, efficient, safe and intelligent. The other part is aimed at comprehensive energy services, which will become the second largest business of State Grid in the future. The ubiquitous power Internet of Things will support the improvement of the level of comprehensive energy services and improve its core competitiveness.

Zeng Ming also said that the value of building a ubiquitous power Internet of Things is multifaceted. First of all, there are economic and social benefits. Through comprehensive energy services, benefits can be generated, allowing State Grid Corporation and its partners to share profits. In addition, the ubiquitous power Internet of Things will also serve as a hub and platform to create value in the industrial chain.

According to the timetable previously announced by State Grid, the ubiquitous power Internet of Things will be initially built by 2021. Then, after another three years of improvement, the ubiquitous power Internet of Things will be fully built by 2024.
