China Energy Storage Network News: Riding on the momentum of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, traditional substations have begun to transform. On April 15, the "multi-station integration" demonstration project of the 35 kV Yinjiagang substation located in Zhangjiang Science City, Pudong, Shanghai, officially started. When it is expected to be completed in the middle of this year, the Yinjiagang substation will integrate the functions of the data center and energy storage station on the basis of the traditional substation, forming a typical application scenario of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things with "three flows in one" of energy flow, business flow, and data flow.

The energy storage station is equipped with energy storage equipment with a capacity of 3.78 MW/7.65 MWh in this phase. After it is put into operation, it can effectively reduce peak loads and fill valleys, reducing the maximum load rate of the main transformer of Yinjiagang Substation from the current heavy load state to about 70%, while improving the power supply capacity of the regional power grid. The data center is equipped with 24 server cabinets in this phase. After it is put into use, a large amount of equipment status information such as the main transformer oil level, infrared temperature, transient voltage, etc. will be collected by the terminal and uploaded to the center in the form of data for storage and utilization. In addition, the data center can also provide server leasing to support the development of comprehensive energy service-related businesses.

In conjunction with the energy storage station and data center, the Yinjiagang substation has reserved a 5G base station tower and six communication screens during its renovation, forming a "combination punch" of "substation + energy storage station + data center" and supporting 5G base stations, providing effective resources and means for building a ubiquitous power Internet of Things and expanding integrated energy services.

It is reported that this renovation will keep the existing scale of the substation unchanged and will rationally transform the original station by modifying the general design, so that the building land that originally required three sites can be compressed into the same space, greatly saving land resources.

The Shanghai Pudong Power Supply Company, which is responsible for the project construction, has applied for six supporting innovative exploration topics, including "Research on multi-station integration application scenarios and value expansion" and "Integration of key technologies and demonstrations", to enhance the technical management capabilities of various professional lines based on the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.
