The construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things is the foothold for State Grid Corporation of China to implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee. It reflects the determination and confidence of State Grid Corporation of China to accelerate the transformation of new and old kinetic energy and break through development bottlenecks. It is bound to have a profound impact on the development of my country's energy and power industry and people's electricity life.

At present, my country's energy acquisition methods and functional means are constantly changing. New energy, distributed power generation, energy storage, user microgrids, charging piles and other new energy production methods and consumption models are constantly emerging. The energy industry is gradually developing towards green, low-carbon, high-efficiency and energy interconnection, which puts forward higher requirements for the smart grid as the basic support. To build a strong smart grid, an important basic network, and to build a full-service ubiquitous power Internet of Things is the key.

As an extension and expansion of the Internet, the Internet of Things can connect objects, objects and people, and people with each other through technologies such as sensing, positioning, communication and computers, and digitally reflect the physical world. The construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things can focus on all aspects of the power system, apply modern information technologies such as mobile Internet and artificial intelligence, and advanced communication technologies to achieve the interconnection of all things and human-computer interaction in all aspects of the power system, and create a smart service system with comprehensive state perception, efficient information processing, and convenient and flexible application.

The various energy, network, data, customer and other resources owned by the power grid have the unique advantages of building hub-type, platform-type and sharing-type enterprises. However, the power industry also has its own particularities, such as the production, supply and sales of power products are completed instantly, and the investment is difficult to see results in the short term. The mission of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is to break down the various barriers that hinder the formation of an open and shared energy ecosystem, such as the barriers between different industries such as cold, heat, gas, electricity, and transportation, which must be broken through by building a comprehensive energy system; for example, the barriers between fixed power grids and mobile energy consumers must be broken through more convenient energy WiFi such as wireless charging... In the long run, the ultimate goal of the energy Internet is to minimize the use of fossil energy and achieve clean energy utilization.

In my opinion, the current exploration and practice of ubiquitous power Internet of Things will greatly activate the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, transfer profit space, bring new business models, and open up more emerging fields. In particular, it can empower power grid companies and emerging business entities in terms of unified perception, physical ID application, precise and proactive repair, virtual power plant, and one-stop handling of smart energy services. The four major sectors of information technology today are the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. They are a whole, with extremely close connections, and have the characteristics and trends of integration. The Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence must rely on technologies such as distributed processing, distributed databases, and cloud storage of cloud computing to form industry-level applications. Through the Internet of Things, massive amounts of data are generated and collected and stored on the cloud platform, and then through big data analysis, the data stored on the cloud computing platform is extracted with a higher form of artificial intelligence to provide better services for human life. This concept organically integrates traditional business models with business logic, giving strong new momentum to the traditional and emerging businesses of power grid companies. Various power businesses will surely enter a new stage of both quantity and quality improvement in digital scenarios.

Northeast Electric Power University is a traditional power energy advantage and characteristic university. In recent years, the School of Electrical Engineering has continuously deepened academic research in the fields of smart grid, energy Internet, power environmental protection and power transmission and transformation facilities. The construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things by State Grid Corporation of China has greatly broadened the academic horizons of university teachers and students, and also made us constantly think about what innovative tasks and positive roles universities can undertake in the development of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things.

In the next step, the School of Electrical Engineering will vigorously strengthen the construction of disciplines related to the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, rationally allocate disciplinary resources, promote the cross-integration of related disciplines such as power and information, and provide more outstanding talents for the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things. At the same time, we will further broaden our scientific research ideas, actively strengthen research and exploration in the fields of power Internet of Things, mobile Internet, big data and artificial intelligence, increase the intensity of cooperation and exchange with the State Grid Corporation of China in production, learning and research, form a cooperative mechanism and model for efficient coordination of multi-party resources, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and provide strong support for technological innovation and industrial transformation and upgrading in the power industry.
