The company's most urgent and important task at present is to accelerate the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things. State Grid Shandong Electric Power has conscientiously implemented the deployment of the company's party committee, adhered to the right path and made innovations, taken responsibility and worked hard to build a "Shandong model" of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and unswervingly taken the lead in the construction of a world-class energy Internet enterprise.

Learn deeply and draw a "road map"

On the first day of work after the Spring Festival, State Grid Shandong Electric Power quickly launched an in-depth learning week activity with the theme of "Taking Responsibility to Create the Best, and Taking the Lead in Implementation", and invited technical experts to hold special lectures and technical exchange activities, so that the majority of cadres and employees have a more comprehensive understanding of what the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is, why it should be built, and how to build it.

The company's video and telephone conference on the deployment of the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things emphasized that the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is related to the overall construction of the "three types and two networks", involving every employee, and is extremely innovative and challenging, requiring top-down coordination, two-way efforts, and all-staff efforts. State Grid Shandong Electric Power will accelerate related research and infrastructure construction, promote the coordinated and integrated development of strong smart grids and ubiquitous power Internet of Things, build an energy Internet that integrates energy flow, business flow, and data flow, gain a leading edge in smart energy comprehensive service platforms, smart enterprise construction, and create a model project for the energy Internet.

Based on comprehensive perception, driven by data integration, centered on platform sharing, and oriented towards value creation, we will implement a three-year action plan for the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and initially build a ubiquitous power Internet of Things by 2021. Relying on the National (Qingdao) Civil-Military Integration Demonstration Zone, we will create a national leading ubiquitous power Internet of Things demonstration project. We will strengthen functional development and application, deepen the construction of full-service data centers, and accelerate the construction of artificial intelligence technology platforms to achieve full-time perception of power grid status, full connection of operation data, full online business, and a new customer service experience, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive energy utilization and business expansion.

Find out the real situation and find the right “focus”

In recent years, State Grid Shandong Electric Power has actively promoted information construction and accumulated certain experience in big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, laying a solid foundation for the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, and also providing the main direction and key focus for the integrated development of the "two networks".

In terms of improving service levels and cultivating emerging businesses, the power consumption information collection system has realized the automatic collection of power consumption data of 44 million customers in the province, with an average daily data collection volume of about 500 million, which has been fully applied to customer service and business analysis. Relying on the smart energy service platform to build a car networking ecosystem, create a data center covering the entire industry chain of vehicles, piles, networks, and storage, and innovate new retail business models for electric vehicles. At present, the platform has charged and swapped 144 million kWh of electricity.

In terms of improving the safe and economical operation of the power grid, the power generation side has realized online monitoring, real-time evaluation, trend prediction, remote optimization, and dynamic management of the grid-connected units in the province. The substation side has piloted the application of the "robot +" automatic inspection system for substations. The transmission side has applied the intelligent inspection management platform for transmission lines to realize the transformation of line inspection to an intelligent mode. The distribution side has piloted the application of edge computing APP based on intelligent distribution and transformation terminals to complete "edge-end" collaboration and "edge-cloud" collaboration, and realize full collection, full perception, and full control of low-voltage distribution network data.

In terms of data sharing and basic support, the implementation of the processing domain and analysis domain of the full-service data center has been completed; the development and verification of 6 demonstration micro-applications such as power supply service command and physical ID have been completed. A provincial artificial intelligence technology platform has been built to provide general and common support for the construction of various professional applications. Developed power-specific mobile terminals and secure access platforms, deployed more than 48,000 mobile terminals, and widely used in equipment, marketing, regulation, materials, safety supervision and other professions.

In terms of full-scenario security protection, the on-site operation safety management and control platform is fully applied, and on-site information is transmitted back through fixed video and mobile terminals. More than 300,000 on-site locations have been supervised cumulatively, and the number of violations has dropped by 54%. A panoramic intelligent power protection command system has been fully launched to achieve penetrating command of personnel and materials and full display of information resources. The power Internet of Things security protection gateway has been independently developed and widely promoted, and has passed the performance test of the Ministry of Public Security and the actual combat test of the "Network Protection 2018" exercise.

Implementing responsibilities and taking the first step

State Grid Shandong Electric Power conscientiously organized and implemented the company's "Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things Construction Outline" and implemented all tasks without fail.

Focus on top-level design. Adhere to the integrated development and coordinated advancement with the power grid, formulate a ubiquitous power Internet of Things construction plan, comprehensively consider the five aspects of terminals, networks, platforms, applications, and security, clarify the functional architecture, technical system and application scenarios, and plan key construction tasks and construction paths.

Strengthen infrastructure construction. Conduct research on information identification, collection and control technology for power grid equipment, and actively participate in standard formulation. Complete the transformation and promotion of systems such as power consumption information collection and intelligent distribution and transformation terminals within the year, and take the lead in building power distribution Internet of Things demonstration zones in Jinan and Qingdao. Optimize the backbone communication network, carry out wireless private network pilot projects, and strive to build 39 Beidou ground-based enhanced network base stations to form a new generation of communication network with three-dimensional support capabilities of "ubiquitous connection + precise timing + precise positioning". Deepen the construction of full-service data centers, vigorously promote data model standardization, and build an artificial intelligence technology platform by the end of August.

Dig deep into the value driven by big data. Establish a data asset management committee, promote the construction of big data laboratories, and carry out data asset management and planning. Sort out databases and data chains, strengthen provincial and municipal data and technology sharing, and form full-process and all-round data application support. Build a data-driven four-category monitoring system, strengthen strategic execution monitoring and operational quality evaluation, and form typical scenarios and material libraries by category.

Build a service platform that integrates multiple information. Build an innovation base for "Internet + power supply services", comprehensively promote "Online State Grid", and realize online processing of all business. Strengthen online monitoring of electricity consumption information big data, and pilot the replacement of electricity meter status. Create a provincial customer-side energy service platform, conduct a customer energy information census, and support the development of the comprehensive energy market and project operations. Explore the use of substation resources to build and operate new models of charging and swapping (energy storage) stations and data center stations. Accelerate the implementation of orderly charging and support the large-scale development of electric vehicles. Deepen the application of mobile terminals and strengthen the functional integration of professional mobile operation terminals.
