SolarEdge shipped 3.9GW of inverters in 2018, with a gross profit margin of 35.4%

According to the information released by SolarEdge, the full-year revenue in 2018 was US$937.2 million, the GAAP gross margin was 34.1%, and the GAAP net diluted earnings per share was US$2.69.

Among them, the total revenue of photovoltaic products was US$914.3 million, and the non-GAAP gross profit margin of photovoltaic products was 35.4%.

SolarEdge inverter shipments in 2018 were 3.9GW (AC).

SolarEdge founder said: "In addition to the growth and strong profitability of the photovoltaic business, the acquisition of lithium-ion battery supplier Kokam in the fourth quarter and the subsequent acquisition of a majority stake in SMRE will continue to lay the foundation for the company's future non-photovoltaic business growth. Over time, these acquisitions, which initially diluted our profit margins and earnings per share, will become an important part of SolarEdge's success."
