Global Energy Internet clarifies "Action Roadmap"

Relevant experts suggested that the global energy internet should be included in the intergovernmental dialogue and cooperation framework led by China to strengthen policy communication. Related topics should be set up at this year's China-Arab Cooperation Forum and China-Africa Cooperation Forum, and next year's "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, to publicize the advantages brought by the internet and promote the gradual formation of international conventions and rules for global energy governance.

Second, we will steadily advance the construction of China's energy internet, improve the ability to optimize the allocation of domestic energy resources, and accelerate the construction of energy internet demonstration projects; at the same time, we will give full play to the advantages of Chinese power companies, strengthen international cooperation, and further promote the export of technology equipment and standards.

Frank Berendt said that it is necessary not only to change the concept and the way of power supply, but also to increase investment in power infrastructure. There are a lot of wind power generation in eastern Germany, but because of insufficient connectivity, the power generation cannot be transmitted to Western Europe and neighboring countries.

George Cole said that promoting the implementation of the global energy internet requires good policy coordination, and China plays a leading role in many important aspects. In the future, China will become a standard-setting center for green technology, electric transportation and smart grids. Once the benefits of China's energy interconnection to people and society are apparent, other countries will follow suit.

Third, we will further support the development of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization, support and help it obtain consultative status with the United Nations and observer status to the Framework Convention on Climate Change, guide it to participate in international energy affairs as a non-governmental organization, and create a good atmosphere for my country to lead global energy governance.

Jose, director of energy integration at the Latin American Energy Organization and former minister of electricity and renewable energy of Ecuador, said that the role of international organizations is very important, especially in helping to promote cooperation between the public and private sectors, mobilizing the forces of all parties, helping to formulate policies, and better disseminating the concepts and experiences of energy interconnection.
